A Drastic Course - Disability Research Advocacy and Training Skills in Communication

This course has been designed to respond to the increasing interest in actively engaging disable people is research as both researchers and participants. The objective of the course is that people, closely involved with disability issues, both disabled and non-disabled, are encouraged to news_identify research needs and to develop and sharpen research skills. We firmly believe research findings need to be translated into meaningful expression in the lives of people implicated in research and in order to facilitate this process advocacy and communication training skills need to be enhanced.

Facilitator: Fiona Budge (MSc Medical Anthropology and Sociology, currently a PhD researcher for Disability Studies in Nederland DSiN)
