WWith 26 years of diverse experience in humanitarian and development programing, I am committed to making a difference. Throughout my career, I have successfully led and managed operations in challenging locations across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East working with National and International organizations (ActionAid, Christian Aid, Practical Action, Mercy Corps and Plan International) Currently, I serve as the Country Director at Plan International since May 2022. However, I have also served in Nepal on various occasions, including my roles with Practical Action from 2011 to 2012 and Christian Aid from 2015 to 2018 (in a regional capacity).
As a development professional, I possess experience in senior leadership roles in international development as Program Manager, Deputy Country Director, Country Director, Chief of Party, Regional Humanitarian Manager (South Asia) and Deputy Regional Director (Asia). Throughout my career, I have led humanitarian and development programs in countries including India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Malawi, and Nigeria.
Beyond organizational leadership roles, I have played a pivotal role in nurturing the Climate Action Network South Asia, a regional climate change network. Additionally, I have held leadership positions in prominent global and regional networks and forums, including serving as theChair of Sphere in India, Chair of the INGO Forum in Nigeria, and as a Board Member of the Climate Action Network International. Notably, I collaborated with seven other international non-governmental organizations to design an Asia Regional Network for surge capacity.
